Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? Whether you’re considering dyslexia therapy or searching for the perfect therapy partner, we’re here to help. Check out our FAQs for answers to the most common questions we receive.
What is the dyslexia?
A common misconception is that dyslexia means seeing letters backwards, but that’s not the case.
Dyslexia is simply a learning difference that affects how some children read, write, and spell. It’s linked to how the brain processes sounds and letters, not a reflection of effort or intelligence.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We gladly accept both private payment and insurance. We are in-network with Regence BlueCross BlueShield, Tricare, and Select Health. We’re also actively working to expand our coverage with additional insurance providers to make it even easier for you to access the support you need.
Do you offer teletherapy?
Absolutely! We offer both in-person and teletherapy sessions to suit your needs and preferences.
What age groups do you work with?
We specialize in supporting children from reading age onward, often around the age 6-7, when dyslexia symptoms commonly first appear.
How do evaluations work?
During an evaluation, we conduct both formal testing and informal assessments to establish clear baselines. Our therapist will then score the tests, set tailored goals, and prepare a detailed evaluation report. This comprehensive report will be provided to you, and we are always available to answer any additional questions you may have. The full evaluation generally takes 1-2 hours or can be completed over 2-4 sessions, depending on your child’s specific needs.
Important Note: If you plan to use insurance, a referral or authorization from your Primary Care Physician is required before scheduling the evaluation. Please call us at 479-595-1830, and we’ll be happy to assist you in setting up the evaluation.
